Runaway Dotharl looking for meaning

Rika was born under the 18th sun of the Sixth Astral moon, and as the Khatun looked into her eyes and saw her soul she was named. Next in the reincarnation line of a long line of Dotharl, all of whom have been martial masters leading the tribe to numerous victories over the other tribes.Rika herself wasn't actually born to Dothral parents but was left on the outskirts of the tribe, the Dotharl thought it a blessing. That someone that would have inherited the soul of Rika would be passed onto them was fate that their future was bright. Which means the tribe had heavy expectations on her growth and abilities. They were hard on her growth, Rika trained day in and day out to be good enough to be this reincarnation, to even feel worthy of such a title. The tribe's high hopes weighed heavy on her shoulders. She constantly heard stories that had been passed down about her past lives and everyday she failed made it that much harder.Nonetheless Rika worked hard, harder than the others, trying her all to meet this perfect ideal. She watched Sadu grow in power over the years alongside her, seemingly making easy work at growing into her power and what was expected of her. All the while Rika was strong by a normal means but still failing to meet the expectations put on her. This disappointment weighed heavily on her over the years, as more time went on it became harder and harder to face the tribe, she was crippling under the weight of their expectations, and at this point all of the tribe's focus was on Sadu and her success. Feeling this as a loss and that she wouldn't ever improve at this rate on Rika’s 23rd Nameday she slipped away from the tribe and made her way across the Steppe, her feet moving on their own, each step of it's own mind and before she knew it she was standing before the House of the Crooked Coin.Rika stared at the fragments of the Dusk Mother, hoping to gain solace and understanding from being here. She isn't sure how long she stayed perched at that ledge, every second that passed she became more and more lost in her life and what she was living it for.The thought of slipping off the edge here and ending her reincarnation line was tempting the longer she sat, she had been beholden to her past lives her whole life and she was quite tired of making decisions based off of those lives and the expectations of the tribe. She was there for what felt like ages before she decided. The realization of what she wanted smacking her in the face. After a silent prayer she vowed to return again years later hoping to gain something from her life that was hers and that she could be proud of and left the House of the Crooked Coin behind her. Venturing across the Steppe not back to the tribe but across Hingashi instead. She was done with the tribe, her role in it wasn't anything she could live up to. Not when the new favorite and new leader Sadu could do so much better. Rika wanted a life of her own to live whether her past lives like it or not. She'll find her own reason to fight and her own glorious death because she wouldn't have found it here.
